Mounjaro prescribing in pimary care

There is a national roll out set by NHS England so access this year is only for people with at least 4 of the 5 health conditions listed below plus a BMI of at least 40 (BMI to be adjusted for ethnicity).

type 2 diabetes mellitus
high blood pressure
heart disease
obstructive sleep apnoea (when your breathing stops and starts while you sleep)
abnormal blood fats (dyslipidaemia)

Please don't contact the surgery asking for Mounjaro prescriptions if you dont meet the criteria as we will be unable to refer to the community clinic at this time.

For people over 18 with diabetes or hypertension and a BMI more than 30 ( or BAME more than 27.5) we can refer to the NHS digital weight management programme
